Choosing AIS Windows & Doors

Questions, answered

uPVC or aluminium?

uPVC insulates well, resists termites and corrosion and is cost-effective. Aluminium gives slimmer, stronger frames for very large or tall glass and a wider choice of powder-coated colours. We can quote both for your openings.

Which window type for which problem?

Fixed and casement windows perform best for anti-pollution, acoustic and energy-efficiency needs; sliders are the least effective at sealing. Pair the window with laminated, DGU or low-E glass for the result you need.

How long does it take?

AIS typically quotes 45–60 days for supply and installation from the date of final site measurement. Openings should be ready for measurement about 45 days before you need delivery.

What should I check in a quotation?

Inclusions, glass specification (thickness, type, coating), how each window opens, multipoint locking, warranty coverage, and drawings of the final product — we share all of these with our AIS quotes.

What do you need from me?

Approximate sizes of each opening (or your drawings), the rooms they are in, and how you want them to open. We prepare the AIS design and quotation.
